Survey responses are collected and processed for the purpose of providing survey analysis and reporting to the school or organization that commissioned the survey. SchoolRight does not sell survey responses or use individually identifiable survey information for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

Schools receive survey reports, statistical analysis, and, when applicable, written comments or other reporting materials. SchoolRight does not disclose the identity of an individual respondent to the school in connection with that person's responses.

If a participant voluntarily identifies himself or herself within a written response, that information has been disclosed by the participant and may appear in reporting provided to the school.

In limited circumstances, SchoolRight may disclose information when reasonably necessary to address a credible threat of harm, protect the safety of an individual or others, investigate misuse of our services, or comply with applicable law or legal process.

Student Surveys and Children’s Privacy

SchoolRight conducts student surveys at the request and authorization of schools. These surveys may include students under the age of 13.

When SchoolRight collects information from students under 13, the information is collected solely for school-authorized educational and school-improvement purposes and is not used for advertising, marketing, behavioral profiling, or other unrelated commercial purposes.

Where applicable, SchoolRight relies on the school’s authorization to collect student information in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). SchoolRight provides schools with information regarding its collection, use, protection, and retention of student information and will work with schools to address appropriate requests concerning access to or deletion of a student’s personal information.

SchoolRight retains student information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the survey services requested by the school and for legitimate reporting and recordkeeping purposes.

How We Use Information

  • Authenticate or manage survey participation when necessary.

Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our data-retention practices.
